Dear community member,
The SALNAM Community Electoral Commission hereby announces the opening of nominations
for the upcoming SALNAM Community Election, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026,
from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The election will be conducted in accordance with the SALNAM Community Constitution, and all
members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the constitutional provisions governing the
electoral process.
Positions Open for Election
The election will be held for the following two positions only:
● President
● Vice President
The elected President will subsequently form his or her cabinet in accordance with the SALNAM
Community Constitution.
Nomination Period
Nominations will officially open on Monday, August 24, 2026, and will close at 6:00 p.m. on
Sunday, August 30, 2026.
All candidates wishing to contest for the position of President or Vice President must submit their
nomination and declaration of intent to run to the Electoral Commission before the stated deadline.
Only members who are fully paid-up members of the SALNAM Community and who meet the
eligibility requirements established by the Constitution will be permitted to contest.
No nominations will be accepted after the stated deadline.
Campaign Period
The official campaign period will run for two weeks, from Monday, August 31, 2026, through
Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Candidates are expected to conduct their campaigns in a respectful, transparent, and responsible
manner, consistent with the values of the SALNAM Community and the provisions of the
Constitution.
Candidates’ Debate
The Electoral Commission will host a Candidates’ Debate on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
The debate will provide members with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates, learn
about their vision and priorities, and make informed decisions before voting. Further details

regarding the time, venue, and format of the debate will be communicated by the Electoral
Commission.
Election Day
The election will take place as follows:
Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
All eligible members are encouraged to participate and exercise their right to vote.
The Electoral Commission calls on all candidates and members of the SALNAM Community to
uphold the principles of fairness, unity, transparency, respect, and peaceful democratic
participation throughout the entire electoral process.
Members are reminded to refer to the SALNAM Community Constitution for the complete rules
and requirements governing the election.
